8. Important safety precautions: for safe use, before operating the expert's choice external filter system, be sure to carefully read the basic safety precautions on the filter drum label.
(1) First check that the voltage is appropriate for the filter drum, the power plug is secure and the socket is not shared with other devices.
(2) Do not disassemble the product?|s main motor even if the system is malfunctioning. Please take the product to an authorized service point if it malfunctions.
(3) If the power cable is damaged, discontinue use. The product?|s power cable can't be replaced separately.
(4) Make sure that the power cable is not mounted too high and that it does not provide a path for water run-off to reach the power socket. This is to ensure that water does not enter the plug or socket.
(5) The filter drum must be filled with water before it can be plugged into the power outlet. The motor may otherwise race and become damaged.
(6) The product is only suitable for indoor aquariums.
9. Precautions:
(1) Please read and carefully inspect the important warning labels on the product.
(2) Make sure the product is properly assembled before use.
(3) Unplug the product from the power supply when not in use, when installing / removing components, or when cleaning.

Specification :

1. Installation instructions: (1) Lift the clip up and take the main motor out of the filter drum. (2) Remove the filter cartridge and insert an appropriate filter material, such as the expert’s choice mico-oranisms cultur material, MB scince ceramic ring with Bacteria, MB efficient filter material with bacterium and Bio-Sponge. (3) Place the filter cartridge back into the filter drum in the appropriate orientation. The upper layer is the bio-culture filter, and the lower layer is the pre-filter. (4) Reattach the main motor to the top of the filter drum and press firmly on the clips to secure it in place. Secure the motor and filter drum. (5) Connect the water outlet and connecting piping as shown in the diagram.

2. Use: (1) Once piping has been installed, press on the top-mounted piston several times to draw water from the aquarium into the filter drum. (2) The filter drum must be filled with water before use or the motor may race and become damaged. (3) Plug in power. If there is a grinding noise it¡¦s due to air in the system. Press on the top-mounted piston again, or repeatedly plug in / unplug the system to expel the air within the filter system. Proceed with use only when there are no further noises. (4) Regularly clean the axial and filter material according to the number and types of fish kept. (5) The bottom layer of the filter material is the microorganism culture layer and must be cleaned with water from the aquarium itself to avoid mass loss of nitrifying bacteria. Cleaning is generally recommended at 1~2 month intervals.
